Client: Re:Act disaster response charity

Project: Content Creation

Turning complexity into simplicity

We were honoured to be support Re:Act, a disaster response charity based in the UK, to design a project schematic for aiding civilians caught up in the Ukraine conflict. Our objective was to visually describe a comprehensive plan that leveraged the skills of military veterans and volunteers to deliver effective and timely disaster relief to affected communities.

If you’ve not heard of them, Re:Act's primary mission is to unite the unique abilities of military veterans with first responders and volunteers to respond rapidly to disasters and provide aid to affected communities. Their veteran-led disaster response teams bring valuable expertise in leadership, logistics, and emergency situations, making them well-equipped to operate in high-pressure and chaotic environments.

When a disaster strikes, Re:Act deploys its teams to affected areas, delivering various forms of aid such as search and rescue operations, medical support, debris removal, and community rebuilding efforts. Their agile and swift response bridges the gap between immediate disaster response and long-term recovery.

Collaboration and partnerships are key to Re:Act's approach. Working closely with other disaster relief organisations, government agencies, and local communities ensures a coordinated and effective response. Through partnerships with local organisations and authorities, they gain valuable insights into the specific needs of affected communities.

Continuous training and development opportunities are provided for both veteran and civilian volunteers, ensuring they are well-prepared and equipped to handle a wide range of disaster scenarios. Emphasising the importance of diverse skill sets and experiences, Re:Act believes that their volunteers' collective expertise contributes significantly to the overall effectiveness of their disaster response efforts.

At Haus of Hiatus, we aimed to create a project schematic that showcased Re:Act's commitment to delivering impactful and timely aid to civilians affected by conflicts. The schematic emphasised collaboration, swift response, and skilful execution, reflecting the organisation's mission to make a positive difference in challenging environments.

Through our collaborative effort with Re:Act, we hope the project schematic will effectively communicate their disaster response approach and attract support from volunteers and stakeholders who share their passion for providing aid to communities in need.
