Branding an Olympic-hopeful national athlete

As the branding agency commissioned by Team Bobsleigh Baird to create their branding, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and accomplished athlete like Adam. Our goal was to capture the essence of his athleticism, determination, and remarkable achievements in the field of bobsleigh. Here's how the branding process went:

Brand Concept:

 

Drawing inspiration from the speed, precision, and strength associated with bobsleigh, we developed a brand concept that reflected Adam Baird's athletic prowess and his team's pursuit of excellence. Our concept revolved around three key elements: power, speed, and unity.

 

Logo Design:

 

For the Bobsleigh Baird logo, we created a dynamic emblem that embodied the essence of the sport. The logo featured a sleek and streamlined representation of a bobsleigh in motion. The lines and curves of the design conveyed speed, agility, and fluidity, reflecting the athleticism and precision required in the sport. We incorporated bold typography, using a strong, modern typeface to display "Team Bobsleigh Baird" alongside the logo.

 

Colour Palette:

 

To evoke a sense of power and energy, we selected a colour palette dominated by deep shades of blue, red, and gold. The blue represented confidence and stability, while the gold added a touch of elegance and sophistication. These colours created a visually striking identity that stood out on various platforms and collateral.

 

Typography:

 

We chose a strong, bold typeface for the team's name, "Bobsleigh Baird." The typography exuded strength and confidence, reflecting the physical demands of the sport and Adam Baird's unwavering dedication. The typography also added a touch of modernity to the brand's overall visual identity.

 

Visual Elements:

 

To reinforce the connection to bobsleigh, we incorporated visual elements such as motion lines, abstract representations of ice, and subtle references to the sport's equipment, such as sled runners. These elements were utilised sparingly in brand collateral, adding a sense of dynamism and excitement to the overall branding.

 

Overall, our collaboration with Bobsleigh Baird in creating their branding was a resounding success. The final brand identity effectively captured Adam Baird's remarkable achievements and conveyed the speed, power, and unity associated with bobsleigh. It provided a strong foundation for Bobsleigh Baird to connect with their audience, attract sponsors, and further elevate their profile in the world of bobsleigh.
