Client: Dustoff Films

Project: Location support and photography

Seeking out icons in Ireland

We were delighted to provide location support to Dustoff Films when they were commissioned to produce ‘A Charmed Life’, in Western Ireland, for the BBC’s World Service.

Dustoff Films is a highly regarded documentary production company founded by two former members of the British Combat Search and Rescue unit, MERT.  We were delighted to work with one of the co-founders, Tom Martienssen, an Emmy-winning director and cinematographer,

Dustoff has filmed in over 50 countries from Afghanistan to Bolivia, New Zealand to Patagonia. Their passion for in-depth reporting was a natural transition to documentaries. Their collaboration on projects with Diamond Docs and the BBC led to numerous documentaries being made.

They specialise in the human stories around communities and the environment, focusing on conservation and protection of wild spaces. Dustoff's modular teams are more flexible, willing to go further, work faster, and under the harshest conditions, to produce beautiful stories in film, beyond any of their peers.
