Capturing the unique spirit of Scotland in London

In 2022, we were delighted to plan and produce a range of photos for the Charles Edge London spirits company to use on their new social media accounts to capture the spirit of Scotland in the bustling metropolitan of London.

We embarked on an exciting project to capture the essence of a spirit company's iconic 'London Square' blended whisky, emphasising its Scottish heritage against the backdrop of London's cultural tapestry, using the statue of Scottish poet and raconteur Robert Burns as a key visual element.

To bring this vision to life, we meticulously planned the photoshoot, ensuring every detail conveyed the rich Scottish heritage intertwined with the urban landscape of London. Our team scouted locations within London that would complement the whisky's heritage, and the statue of Robert Burns emerged as the perfect symbol, embodying Scotland's literary legacy.

On the day of the shoot, we strategically positioned the whisky bottles and glasses against the backdrop of the statue, capturing the spirit of Scotland amidst the vibrant energy of London. The photographs aimed to harmonise the traditional elements of Scottish culture represented by the whisky with the cosmopolitan ambiance of the city.

We played with different angles, lighting techniques, and compositions to evoke a sense of sophistication and reverence for the whisky's heritage while paying homage to Robert Burns' legacy. Emphasising the craftsmanship and elegance of the product against the statue's backdrop created a visual narrative that celebrated both Scottish tradition and London's cultural diversity.

Throughout the shoot, our photographers aimed to strike a balance between showcasing the whisky as a premium product steeped in Scottish roots and integrating it seamlessly into the contemporary urban setting. Each shot was meticulously crafted to highlight the whisky's intricate details while framing Robert Burns' statue as a symbol of artistic and cultural fusion.

Post-production efforts focused on fine-tuning the photographs, enhancing colours, textures, and contrasts to create a visual narrative that encapsulated the spirit company's commitment to quality and heritage. The final images conveyed a story of timeless craftsmanship meeting the modern world, resonating with both whisky connoisseurs and enthusiasts of Scottish culture in the heart of London.

Overall, the photoshoot successfully captured the essence of the 'London Square' blended whisky against the backdrop of Robert Burns' statue, beautifully blending Scottish heritage with the vibrant tapestry of London's cultural landscape.
