Designing a logo for a military Rugby team with a social cause
When H-Hour podcast host and Forces Barbarians co-founder, reached out to us to create a strong brand for ‘the Fubars’, naturally we said yes - and got straight to work!
Creating a compelling logo for the Forces Barbarians was a complicated and meticulous process that began with a thorough understanding of the community's values and mission.
We started by conducting in-depth research into the unique characteristics and identity of the team by studying their concept, the values they hold dear, and the sense of camaraderie that defines this community. This research helped us identify key elements that needed to be incorporated into the logo to effectively represent the Fubars namely the edgy style to signify the explosiveness of this fantastic sport yet also the community.
In the design phase, we aimed to create a logo that resonated with both veterans and the broader Rugby community. After multiple iterations, we arrived at a logo featuring two edgy fonts that would communicate the values yet would look great on merchandise. Overall, the logo embodies the spirit of Fubars — a symbol of resilience, leadership, and commitment to sporting excellence.
